A dAy iN tHe Yard

WEEDS, WEEDS, and MORE WEEDS
We decided to clear all the weeds out of our yard so we can get ready to put in our yard. Three BIG, HUGE, bags later we were done.

A WEED FREE YARD... It wasn't until after I thought I should have taken a picture of all the weeds... at least you can see the finished product.

No more WEEDS... YEA!!! I told Devin, I will be out everyday with my bottle of ROUND UP. I'm not about to spend another day in the 90' weather picking weeds for SIX hours... CRAZY I KNOW! We are glad the weeds are all gone.

LIGHTENING...THUNDER...FIRE!!!!!!!

Our day ended as a storm came in. Devin was outside on the patio when a big bolt of lightening came in and not a sec after that the thunder hit. He ran in the house and said "that hit the mountain," just then we looked out our back window and could see flames.

WAVE RUNNING, TUBING, and KNEEBOARDING... What a great weekend it was with our friends, (Jeff & Trina Weeks, Andy, Jennica, & Tait Weeks, and Trina's parents) at Bear Lake!

The water was cold... we were glad we had wet suits.

Devin enjoyed the splashing of the waves....Does he know his chair is sinking?? What a cute guy.

Who won the race??? Who splashed the most??? Was it Devin??? or was it Jeff???

It was fun to spent time together relaxing, and having no worries. Thanks honey for being so fun!
One day we found this butterfly that had just came out of its cacoon. We had fun playing with it...as you can see. What a pretty butterfly.

A fun time was had by ALL!!!

A GiRLs DaY OuT

My friends that grew up and I decided it would be fun to have a girls day out with our moms and sisters. Can I just say this can be a little dangerous. We started our day at 8:00 in the morning and decided to hit all the yard sales we could (this was the dangerous part). I must admit... I use to think yard sales were dumb, but now I have to say I am addicted. We found so many nice things for basically nothing... (f.y.i. you must know the ones to go too, to get the good stuff). After we had spent the morning at the yard sales, we continued the day having a yummy lunch, doing a fun craft, and ended playing Bunco and reminiscing about all the good ole' days when we were younger. It was so much fun to get together and spend time. P.S. we missed you Jill.

Just remember... one mans junk, is another mans treasure! Yard Sales are great. I am such a yard sale junky now, that my friends and I this last weekend decided to have our own yard sale instead of going to them... it ended up being a success!

A few weekends ago we had a fun get away to Fish Lake. We had a lot of fun riding motorcycles and 4Wheeling, Fishing, Hiking or I guess I should say Riding to the trees where we found my name carved from 10 years ago, and I must not forget Devin's early morning walks in nature to hope to catch a climps of some type of animal. We also played lots of camp fire games and did some fun activities.
This had to be the hit of the trip when Devin caught 2 fish in a small creek near our camp spot!

We made it to the trees where our names were carved. It might be a little hard to see, but on our way there we got drenched from a rain/hail storm... What a RIDE!
Trent and Devin thought it would be fun to make a squirrel trap......
....it looks like it worked quite well!!!

Devin taking the boys on a 4Wheeler ride..."The Speed Express". He always makes things fun... he's a great uncle. A fun time was had by all!!!

For our year anniversary and because we knew we would never do it once we had kids, we ventured out and went back to Devin's mission.... PERU!!!! This seriously was a chance of a life time. We went back with one of his companion's and his wife, Jeff and Trina Weeks. It was so fun to travel with them...they were a blast. While we were there we took several flight to the different places in Peru. I must say one of the spots I really enjoyed.... was the Jungle. Wow, what an adventure. We also went to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, & Sacsauhuaman. These places were so amazing. It was so fun for me to see where Devin spent two years of his life. It was definitely an eye opener when I saw how they lived, and what they lived in. It makes you very grateful for what you have. I was so excited to meet all the people Devin came in contact with while he was there on his mission. I came to love all of them and to this day would go back in a heartbeat. I miss them all, they are wonderful people.

Us on Lake Titicaca... the people here live on reed islands that float out on water. Everything is made out of reeds.

Devin and I going down a rock slide at Sacsauhuaman, it is part of the mountain. It wasn't on purpose but as you can see people have used it as a slide. It was a lot of fun.
All of us at Machu Picchu. This is where I did the treacherous hike up Waynapicchu (the big mountain seen behind us in the picture). I don't hike as some of you know, and this definitely wasn't your average hike. To help you picture it, as we hiked up the mountain there were ropes to grab on too that helped pull you up to the next level. It took us an hour and a half to reach the top. I must say it was well worth it once you got to the top. The view was amazing. So round trip up and down the mountain was about 3 hours. I'm glad I can say I did it!

On top of Winupicchu.... What a VIEW... We did it!!!
On our way to the JuNgLe... it took us about an hour to get there in a motor boat.
This was our humble abode while we stayed in the jungle... a.k.a. BUNGALOW. It was pretty fun to stay in, except for the fact there was no hot water... so yeah we showered in freezing cold water, I survived. It made me appreciate my hot showers.
Here we were floating down a river in the jungle. It was a nice little joy ride to take in all the scenes of the jungle.
In the Jungle, getting ready to hike up stairs that circled up the tree. Once you reached the top you could look out over the whole jungle... it was amazing to see so much green foliage, it was almost claustrophobic. (ya gotta love the mud boots we got to wear as we walked through the jungle, although it was very nice to have them).

You might need a magnifying glass to see us. You can barley see our heads at the bottom of the tree. This helps you see how big the trees are in the jungle.
A cute monkey and its baby on her back on Monkey Island. We got to feed all the monkeys bananas as we walked through the island. You had to be careful and watch your back, the monkeys liked to get a free piggy back ride from all the tourists.

A form of TAXI in Peru. It is a motorcycle that is made into a taxi to take people around Peru. We rode in this one. It was a ride of a life time... lets just say I was glad that we made it to our next destination.

Devin and I with some of the people Devin knew on his mission. They all came to the airport to say "good bye", it was so hard to leave... We hope to go back again someday.

Being able to build our first home a few months after we were married, was such a blessing. We both had so much fun picking out the different styles and things we wanted in our new home. It made it even better that Devin was able to be the frammer, as most of you know he builds homes and he was running his dads framming crew at the time. He did such a good job. Way to go honey!!!

Devin's brothers were always so willing to help out on weekends to get the job done faster.... Thanks guys!
I thought it would be fun to suit up and see what it would be like to be a frammer....needless to say...I decided to stick with dental.

We must not forget the awesome contractor who kept everything organized and on track... Devin's Dad... Thanks Robb!

We enjoyed a great time in Cabo Mexico on our honeymoon. One of the funnest things we did there was wave run on the ocean. At first when you get out on the water its like you are on a lake, until the waves hit and you realize you are on the ocean...(crazy feeling)....way fun though!

The ocean is a blast!!!

Our Wedding Day

We got married in the Salt Lake Temple, March 16, 2007. It was the best day of both of our lives. Married life is the greatest!!! We wouldn't trade it for the world.
