Excited to put on his "First" pair of Christmas Eve Jammies!

All the cousins in matching Jammies

My mom still gives us Christmas Eve Jammies too...here we all are with all the kids...we matched pretty good this year!

Instead of Jammies for the guys on Christmas Eve...she gave them all a new pair of JEANS...Devin was very excited about this..."Lookin' Good"

I had to post this picture... My Mom and Dad as a tradition always give the grand kids a new pair of wranglers, a shirt, and a pair of boots every Christmas...Braxon loved his boots. Its hard to believe they make them that small! How Fun!!

We had a great Christmas and enjoyed all the fun games, food, and parties! It was so much fun to have Braxon this Christmas...it made Christmas so MAGICAL! I never imagined parenthood being so fun and rewarding. We are also thankful for our savior at this time, what a blessing it is too have the gospel in our lives!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas trees this year...now they are put away until the next year...love love loved the holidays and decors!!!

We had so much fun with this little tree...I can't wait till Braxon is old enough to really enjoy it. Thanks Grandma Shelly!

Braxon's Blessing Day

Braxon was blessed November 29 by his dad. This was a great day for all of us. It seems crazy that I have already had a child be blessed. It seems like growing up those years are so far away and now it is reality. What a special moment and time this was! We love you Braxon!!!

Getting ready for his special day!

All spruced up....

Ready to go...

Proud Daddy...
Proud Mommy....

Happy Family!

Can I just say....BLOW OUT!!!

I know all of you moms out there know what I am talking about when I say "Baby" and "Blow Out" in the same sentence. Just a little funny story....the other day I was getting ready to get some lunch for myself because I was STARVING....so I thought..."Well I'll hurry and feed the baby first (which usually takes about 30 mins) and then I will get me some lunch." As I started to feed him we were about 15 mins into it, when lets just say the roof could have blown off! Here I'm thinking "wow that tops them all." So I am getting ready to finish feeding him for the last 15 min when I turn him around and notice poop soaked clear through his onesie, jammies, onto my pants. "What do I do now???" Finish feeding him or head for the tub and finish feeding later??? By now he is crying and not liking the warm feeling of poop up his back, so I headed to the tub. Might I mention...taking off clothes that have had a "blow out"...just makes the "blow out" even worse. By the time I had got everything off, we had poop head to toe...(maybe I'm just the new mother that doesn't know exactly yet how to take off "blow out" clothes). I get him all wiped down and most of the poop off (I thought anyways) when I decided to wrap him up and finish feeding him, then bath him when he was done. So back to the feeding we go, when I realize as he is eating, he had poop on his one hand..."Now I'm thinking GREAT..." As I watch his hand like a hawk so he doesn't touch it to his mouth or anything I get done feeding him and head to the tub. FINALLY....I get him all cleaned up and dressed!!! Needless to say... the hurried 30 min feeding turned into a 2 hour long process. LUNCH ANYONE??? So much for eating myself...by then the hunger pains were long since and gone. I just had to laugh to myself and say..."The Joys of being a Mother" I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

"How can ya not just love this face:)"

2 Week Appt...GRoWiNg LiKe a WeeD!!!

Our little guy had his 2 week appointment and lets just say he is like his mom....LIKES TO EAT!!!
He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. He had gained a 1 1/2 in one week...and grew 1/2 inch, so he is 22 inches long now!

We are so happy he is doing so well...the doctor said he was doing great and to continue what ever we were doing....and to not wake him up at night to feed him any more. I was waking him every three hours to feed him...but now she said to let him call the shots. It is so nice cause he sleeps 4-5 hours before he is ready to eat each time and then goes right back to sleep. He is such a good boy. We are enjoying him so much...Devin and I can't quit looking at him and smiling, he makes us so happy! He sure loves his DADDY!!!

CaNNiNg SeAsoN...

The canning season is here once again...I was glad I was able to get everything done before the baby gets here.
A Bushel of Peaches

2 Bushel of Tomatoes (this was half of them)

I have to say thank you to my mom for helping me finish my last bushel of tomatoes AND for doing ALL of my salsa for me. As a lot of you know I am a Salsa freak, especially home canned salsa and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get it done this year...but thanks to my mom I have 58 jars of SALSA. She is amazing. Thanks so much MOM!!!

Pregancy Update....

Things have been going so well with my pregnancy, I definitely can't complain. I can't believe that I only have one month before we get to meet our little boy! We are so excited and yet a little nervous at the same time. Since I have had such a great pregnancy, I just keep hoping the labor and delivery will be the same:)

Summer Wrap Up....

Since how it seems like I can't keep up on my blog, I thought I would compile a few of the summer highlights to wrap it up. Starting back at the 24th of July forward....

24th Celebration
We spent the 24th out in Park Valley at the traditional 24th Celebration that happens every year. I didn't get any pictures of the actually celebration but we had a good time at the Steak Fry and Dance on Friday night and then on Saturday we enjoyed the Parade, Program, Games, Tug-A-War, and the Rodeo. It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy seeing my friends I grew up with.

We've had some great times in Park Valley this summer at my parents. Here's a few fun pics of Devin & Elden picking their favorite cherries one of the weekends we were there...
Chilling on the hammock as the guys pick cherries

FAMOUS DANCE BABY SHOWER

Anytime anyone gets married or has their first baby, Devin's mom and sister throw an awesome theme shower for whoever it is. So for our baby shower, it was focused all around the circus....and boy was it fun. We played circus games, had circus treats and everyone performed a circus act when they presented their gifts to us.

The Circus Announcer...(Marilyn)

One of the circus games...everyone had a cup of balloons and who ever stuffed the most in their partners shirt won!

Everyone was pretty stuffed;)

More Circus FUN!!!

One of the Circus Acts
The pictures really don't do this shower justice....they really know how to throw a party...we had a great time with everyone and really enjoyed all the circus acts...(everyone is so creative). Thanks to all for everything!!!

The ROCK Path

As most of you know from a previous post we went and got rock out at my parents one weekend...well one of our Saturdays we got the path finished and done.

It was a definite case of "Where do we begin...which rock first?"

Once we got started it seemed to come together

Almost DONE....

The Finish Product
Devin and I had a great time doing this...just another project chalked off the list before the baby comes!

Miles Family Vacation

This year was the Miles side for the family vacation. It was up at Island Park. It was so good to get away, eat yummy food, 4-wheel, play games, boating, fishing, and just have fun together as a family! (the only bummer was I forgot to take pics of a lot of things...here are a few...)

Devin with the nieces and nephew...catching squirrels...F.Y.I. he was successful;)

Heading 4-Wheeling with Chandler and Robyn...(Miles stayed back with grandma;)

Ready to ROLL!!!

Pic of the fam...minus Aaron and Brita's family they had already left, and Bric and Heidi's family they weren't able to make it. A fun time was had by all!
