Braxon 15 months

At Braxon's 15 month well check...he seemed to be doing quite well. He weighed 24 lbs, which put him in the 35th% for weight, and he was in the 90th% for height (he is going to be just like his daddy...tall and skinny. He hasn't started to talk to much yet. He makes a lot of sounds which include: truck and car sounds, and animal sounds, kitty, cow, and dog. His favorite foods right now are oatmeal for breakfast, and chicken nuggets, bean and bacon soup, or hot dogs for lunch. He also loves yogurt of any flavor and of course candy when he can get his hands on it! He loves to clean right along with me...his favorite is the vacuum! One of his favorite times of the day is when Daddy comes home! No matter where we are in the house, when he hears the garage door open, you better watch out...he's like a bolt of lightning and no one better get in his way!
Enjoying some of the first snow of the winter!

Christmas 2010

For Christmas this year we spent it in Park Valley with all of my family. We got there on Christmas Eve and had our Family Party, and then spent the night into Christmas Day. We had a great time Christmas Eve, my mom always comes up with the funnest ideas and games. We had a yummy dinner of course, Jill did the spiritual end this year with a great story and song, and all the fun games.
All the kids got to play a dice game and when they got doubles they got to pick a candy tin!

They also had fun seeing who could break open the pinata!

and as tradition has it now....we adults did the "Unwrap Game"
I might mention Devin and I have won it the last two years so we took pity on everyone else and.......

Miss and Trent won it this year:)
The fun about this game is that we all benefit, who ever wins just gets to pick first. This year it was gift cards to go out to eat!

We also played a dice game and we all won a fun carnival machine.
Cotton Candy Machine, Popcorn Machine, and a Hot Dog Machine!

The kids got pillow pets from Grandma and Grandpa along with a personalized blanket with pictures of just them, from our trip to Yellowstone this year!

Braxon with his new Christmas eve jammies...

and we girls with our matching ones!
Thanks mom for always getting fun Pj's for us... the guys got emergency lanterns and beanies as their Christmas Eve gift:)

Braxon on Christmas morning!

he loved his new vacuum from Santa!

Once we got home we got a shot with his stuff from Santa!
We had a great Christmas and along with all the fun and festivities we love to reflect on our Savior and the true meaning of Christmas!

Christmas Parties

MILES CHRISTMAS PARTY

We always have a lot of fun with Devin's family at the Christmas party. There is a few traditions that we do each year which include: every family doing a service sometime during the year and reporting on what they did, each family bringing a game/story/song, white elephant gifts, and the usual gift exchange...and of course a delicious dinner.

Aaron and Brita brought a game which was Shave Santa's face....
The pictures describe it pretty good....the guys put on shaving cream for a beard and the girls were blind folded and got to see who could do the cleanest shave.

I am proud to say....Devin and I won :)

Braxon enjoyed opening his gift from the cousin exchange

he got a hammer...thanks Grayden.

A fun time was had by all...I wish I would have got more pictures of the other games and such..but of course I didn't. Family time is the Best!

PIERCE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Every Christmas my Grandparents on my mom's side have a party. We always enjoy getting together with the extended family. Every year my Grandma get Santa and Mrs. Clause to come. Braxon really enjoyed his time on Santa's Lap all the times he got to do it. He loved it. He was so intrigued by his beard and loved to pat it.

Taking it all in.

There was also a Magician this year at the party. He did an awesome job!

I think the faces on the guys explain how good he was!

Braxon was even entertained.

MILES EXTENDED CHRISTMAS PARTY

I failed to bring my camera to this Christmas party so sadly there is no pictures. But we had a great time with Devin's extended family on the Miles side. We always enjoy a yummy dinner along with Santa coming to see what the kids want for Christmas, and a few games/songs. It is always so fun to get together and get caught up on everybody's lives!

Devin's Promotion

We are feeling so blessed and grateful at this time. Devin had been with Grainger for a little over a year when a job opening came available at Hill Air Force Base that was still with in Grainger. You aren't able to apply for a promotion unless you have been with the company for a year....well luckily his year mark had just passed when this job opened up, so he went for it! After many sleepless nights, lots of prayers, 3 interviews later, and many "What if's" over the course of a month....he finally got the call....telling him they would like to extend the offer to him!!! Of course he said yes! We were so thrilled, and once again feel so very blessed he was able to get this opportunity!

Great Job Honey...we are so proud of you!!!

Halloween Fun...

Halloween was really fun this year because of Braxon. Kids make everything so much fun! Trick-or-Treating took on a whole new meaning. We loved taking Braxon around to a few houses...it only took a few times until he picked up on..."you knock, and then pick a candy"!

Our cute little PUMPKIN

The table about the BIRTHDAY BOY...we went and took pictures of him with RACE CARS!

I thought it would be fun to make him a TIRE CAKE to go along with the theme...

2 hours later once the cake was finally done baking and 3 containers of black dye later to get the frosting BLACK...we had a TIRE CAKE.

The cake table...
The cousins decorating their cars for the RACE!

Getting ready to blow out his candle...

Waiting patiently for his cake and ice cream...

Enjoying his cake...

Loving every piece of it

Note to the wise...black frosting isn't maybe the best 1st birthday color of frosting, but hey it made a good tire!

The birthday boy excited about all his new stuff...Thank you everyone for the presents and for coming and celebrating Braxon's 1st Birthday!

I can't believe he is already 1. This last year has been a complete joy with Braxon in our lives. He brings so much happiness and fun into our family. We love him so much and are so thankful for him in our lives!
