HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Life isn't measured by the number of breaths we take, but the "moments" that take our breath away

We are so happy he is doing so well...the doctor said he was doing great and to continue what ever we were doing....and to not wake him up at night to feed him any more. I was waking him every three hours to feed him...but now she said to let him call the shots. It is so nice cause he sleeps 4-5 hours before he is ready to eat each time and then goes right back to sleep. He is such a good boy. We are enjoying him so much...Devin and I can't quit looking at him and smiling, he makes us so happy!
He sure loves his DADDY!!!Posted by The Miles at 1:17 PM 5 comments
We couldn't be more happier to have this little guy in our lives. Lets just say it is definitely a change...but a good one! He is such a good baby, we can't complain. He eats really good and sleeps through the night. I have to set my alarm to wake him up and feed him. I hope I don't jinks myself. He is such a good little boy, we love him so much!!!
Going to his first doctors appointment a few day after he was born. Everyone says he looks just like his daddy!
We can't get enough of him. We are so grateful he is healthy, happy, and doing so well. He brings so much joy in our lives!!!

A Bushel of Peaches
2 Bushel of Tomatoes (this was half of them)I have to say thank you to my mom for helping me finish my last bushel of tomatoes AND for doing ALL of my salsa for me. As a lot of you know I am a Salsa freak, especially home canned salsa and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get it done this year...but thanks to my mom I have 58 jars of SALSA. She is amazing. Thanks so much MOM!!!

It has been so much fun getting everything and putting it all together. I still at times feel like I am just playing house and all I need now is my doll:)
We can't wait till our little boy gets here. I know it is going to be a big change, but it is one I have waited for my whole life... and that is to be a Mom!

This past weekend Devin and I went to my parents for a visit and to get some ROCK for a path in our yard. We had quite the weekend. It was a lot of fun!!
Devin excited about one of his finds...what a good lookin' rock... and man of course!
Mom and I taking a little break before we started hunting again for some more rocks!

Dad stacking the rocks on the trailer so our load would stay put while driving.

We packed a lunch and in between loading rocks stopped for a little snack!

Devin and Dad loading the prize rock of the trip. We wanted to get a nice one for our front flower bed to get our name etched on....well this was a doosey...thanks guys for breaking your backs to get this rock!

Devin pretty proud of his load of rock...After 6 hours of picking rocks on the mountain that day we finally got our load. It was a great day. Thanks mom and dad for your help and for the fun weekend. We always have so much fun when we go to Park Valley!!!

We went with our friends again this year to Bear Lake. We had a lot of fun even though Trina and I were pregnant and not able to do the fun water activities. It was still fun to get away and have a weekend with friends.

Devin with his most favorite water toy....he loves wave running. He and Jeff couldn't get enough of them.Posted by The Miles at 5:54 PM 0 comments
Digging trenches for the sprinklers....

I never thought I would be so grateful for a "Ditch Witch"...It saved our lives!
Anyways... we were hoping to get our sod in at the beginning of this summer/spring, and this is where the "wonderful husband" comes into play.
We finally got everything pretty much ready for sod and were just waiting to hear from the sod company. We had our name on a waiting list to get a little bit better deal and so we had to wait until the sod place called us to get it.
Well about two weeks ago...Devin was out in the yard working again and I was so SICK of yard work, so I told him to come in and "lets go do something fun". He told me he would be done in a minute. As I was about ready to head back in the house.... A semi full of sod pulled into our neighborhood....jpg)
When I saw it my words were "Oh Man, who is getting sod in the neighborhood I wish that was ours" The semi was about to our house when Devin said..."SURPRISE...IT IS OURS" I could not believe it....I was so surprised I about fell over. Then my mind was going 90 miles an hour trying to figure out how it all came about...and "who was helping lay all 17 pallets of sod". I should never doubt my husband who covers every track that needs to be covered. The crew was on its way and we had the whole yard laid by the end of the night. Insta-YARD is the way to go. It is so nice to look out and see green and not DIRT. All the hard labor the year before and this year PAID off! Thanks to all who helped lay the sod...we appreciated it so much.
The first few pieces laid

I am always amazed at Devin and the things he does for me. He is always full of surprises. It seems like he always has something under his sleeve brewing. It is so nice to have it all done and not have to worry about it anymore....just in time before the baby comes!

I thought I would do a little up date on how my pregnancy is going. A lot of you have asked how I have been feeling and all I can say is, I definitely can't complain. The minute I found out I was pregnant, one of the first things that came to mind was "Morning Sickness", so I was a little worried how my body would react. I have felt so good that I have told a few people that I sometimes forget I am pregnant. In the very beginning there was a few foods I ate that sounded SO SO good at the time....and NOW....BARF...I hope to never see a corn dog again!!! So, if anyone is needing corn dogs, when I went on my craving I bought two boxes and only ate ONE!!! I can't even stand to look at the box. Other than that and feeling very tired, I have been really lucky and have felt great.
We find out what we are having April 17th, so a week from this Friday...we can hardly wait! In the beginning I thought I was having a girl to the point when my grandma asked me what names we liked, I went off on the few girl names we liked and then she said..."what about boy" and I almost was like "Grandma, we're having a Girl". Then I went through a stage of thinking it was a boy and now I am pretty neutral, I don't really know. Devin on the other hand thinks its a Girl...so I guess we will have to wait and see. Whatever it is, we will be thrilled either way!!!
