Giddy Up....

The other day Grandma Shelly and Grandpa Burt stopped by. It didn't take long for Braxon to warm up to Grandpa Burt...and Grandpa Burt of course loves to put his hats on the little kids.

Braxon 5 Months

Since Braxon is about to reach 6 months, I thought I better jot what has been going on the last month while being 5 months.
5 Month Highlights

-He finally rolled over and really mastered it on our anniversary March 16 which we will always remember...just back to tummy!
-He loved the new adventure of CEREAL....and lately started on the VEGGIES!

-He loves to give kisses...most of the time when I say "Kisses" he leans toward me with his mouth wide open....so precious!

-He loves being outside...now that it has warmed up a bit and we can actually go out without being covered head to toe and under a blanket, its been really fun to go on walks and just be in the yard.

-He definitely knows his daddy and loves when he comes home from work....he gets a huge smile on his face and kicks his legs with excitement.

-He still loves to talk, talk, talk did I mention TALK. When ever I am on the phone its like he has to talk over the top of me and see who can talk louder...once again I can't get a word in edge wise with him and Devin around:)

-To get from place to place he pushes himself with his feet and scoots on his back. This sometimes gets him in predicaments when he doesn't see what's behind him and he bonks his head!

-Changing him....well lets just say it is a chore now! He doesn't stop moving

-He is still loving music and singing. If he is ever upset we start singing and he shuts right up. (Jesus said Love Everyone is one of his favs)

He is such a fun boy, I can't believe how fast time goes by, they grow up way to fast! He makes us so happy every single day! Devin and I so much enjoy being parents. I never knew being a mom could be so fun and so rewarding!

To be Buried or Not to be Buried....

That is the question.....when it comes to Braxon, he loves to be buried in his blankie "Moo Moo" or whatever he can find. 99 percent of the time when I check on him after he's asleep, whether it be a nap or at bed time I have to un-bury him. I worry about him not being able to breathe but he knows how to get it over his face perfectly every time so I know he can pull it off if he wants. So I guess I will just keep un-burying him, because he has to have it to go to sleep.

Sometimes I sit and watch him as he goes to sleep...he'll move his head back and forth and the minute he gets his blankie over his face he stops and is out.

So the other day I was folding clothes and he was propped up on my pillows on my bed and I went in the other room to put something away and came back to find he had slid between the pillows.....
happy as a lark....
trying to bury himself further in the pillows!
Not a day goes by that he doesn't do something to make me laugh or have to smile...I pretty much have a perma-smile at all times! He is such a good little boy....we love him SO much! He definitely keeps us entertained!

mmm...GOOD

Braxon definitely thought his rice cereal was mmm...good! He ate pretty much every single bite. We had a lot of fun feeding him cereal for the first time. We were able to keep it contain pretty good...but I am sure that won't last...it has to be head to toe sooner or later right???

New Toy/Neccessity....

My little boy is growing up so fast....on to the next stage...CEREAL! So I dug out my highchair seat that I got from my shower...and boy do I wish I would have got it out sooner. He loves it since it is something new and he can sit up and look around. He loves sitting in his Bumbo but this was funner for him because his toys can be right in front of him on the tray!

The Treasure of the day...(thanks Pugsley's)

As you can tell...he was enjoying himself

I was loving it too!
(pictures to come on the first feeding!)
